Ingredients
- 2 C flour
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 C milk
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 C shortening (butter is the best)
Directions
- preheat the oven to 450
- mix dry ingredients
- Cut shortening into dry ingredients until like coarse crumbs
- Make a well and add milk
- turn dough onto a floured surface and knead gently (5-10x) do not over-knead
- Roll or pat dough 1/2'' thick
- Cut with a biscuit cutter dipped in flour
- Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 12-15min
- Butter the biscuits (optional but tasty) and serve with crushed strawberries, milk, and some maple syrup on top
