Holiday Jello

A natural substitute for the traditional bright green jello.

Ingredients

  • 2 packages of unflavored gelatin
  • 4 cups of juice (2 flavors)
  • Fruit (no fresh kiwi or fresh pineapple)
  • 4 oz of cream cheese
  • 1 cup of heavy whipping cream

Directions

  1. Heat 2 types of juice in separate pans and add gelatin and stir until dissolved
  2. Place the bottom jello flavor in a serving dish and throw in fruit, and chill in the fridge until firm
  3. Place the top jello flavor in a pan and chill in the fridge until almost firm
  4. Whip the heavy cream
  5. put soft cream cheese in a bowl and mix until creamed
  6. Combine the partially firm jello and cream cheese until blended
  7. gently fold in whipped cream into cream cheese jello mixture
  8. Pile topping onto the jello bottoms and return to the fridge until top is firmed

Notes

We use a 1 1/2 to 2 inch deep dish that has a 9” diameter
