Cranberry Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 C sorghum
  • 2/3 C water
  • 3 cups flour
  • 4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 salt
  • 4 C cranberries (cut each berry in half)
  • 1 1/2 C sugar
  • 1/2 C butter
  • 1/2 C cream
  • 1 C half and half

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325
  2. Mix flour, baking soda, and salt together
  3. Mix the sorghum and water together
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients
  5. Add the cranberries
  6. Pour into a casserole pan and cover. Bake for 2- 2 1/2 hours or until a toothpick comes out clean
  7. Sauce: Combine sugar, butter, cream, and half & half. Cook slowly (low heat) until it thickens slightly
