Cream of Tomato Soup
Serves: 6
Ingredients
- 2 lbs fresh ripe tomatoes
 - 2 Tbl chopped onion
 - 1 Tbl sugar
 - 1 tsp salt
 - 1/4 tsp pepper
 - 1/8 tsp cloves
 - 1/4 C butter
 - 1 qt milk
 
Directions
- Peel and chop tomatoes
 - Simmer tomatoes, onion, sugar, salt, pepper & cloves for 10min
 - Melt butter in a large saucepan & blend in flour
 - Add milk and cook over medium heat until thickened
 - Add tomatoes to milk mixture, stirring constantly
 
Notes
The recipe says “do not reheat”, but i’m not sure what that’s all about
